Science Decodables engage all learners, who may be more interested in learning facts. Every story has been written with a strictly controlled text so that children are only exposed to letter sounds that they have already learned.
Texts are strictly controlled to only include words made up of letter sounds that have been previously taught.
Letter sound readers introduce the first 21 letter sounds. They also have a strictly controlled vocabulary that follows the letter-by-letter progression along with ‘tricky words’.
